The Cervical Cage (ACDF) is an inter-body fusion device which provides mechanical stability whilst facilitating optimized conditions for fusion. It cannot be visualized due to the radiolucent property of the biocompatible cage material. Therefore, the radiopaque pin is attached to the cage. Hence, it’s considered to be a cervical inter-body fusion device offering mechanical stability whilst facilitating bony fusion.
The Cervical Cage (ACDF) has been designed as an anterior solution to cervical inter-body fusion. It is indicated for the treatment of the herniated cervical discs and symptomatic cervical spondylosis. The cage has a dual function to restore disc height in a load sharing environment and to restore cervical lordosis, thus providing stability to the cervical spine.

Cervical Cage is facilitated with superior and inferior teeth that prevent the migration of the cage.
The Peek cage is provided with three radiopaque pins that enables the visualization of position of the cage in radio-graphic imaging.
Large Center Opening offers more area to accommodate bone graft.
Lateral opening in the cage facilitates the vascularizations.
A hole is provided at the posterior side for the implant-instrument interface.

Intended Use

The Cervical Cage system is intended to replace cervical intervertebral discs and to fuse adjacent vertebral bodies at vertebral levels C2 – C7 following anterior cervical discectomy for reduction and stabilization of the cervical spine. The use of autologous bone or bone graft substitute is recommended.
Indications

Cervical pathologies for which segmental arthrodesis is indicated:
Degenerative disc diseases and instabilities
Ruptured and herniated discs
Pseudarthrosis or failed spondylodesis.
For multisegmental fusions with the ACDF system, supplemental fixation is recommended.
