According to the casino this the sum that the millionaire former Manchaster United direcor lost, when playing roulette. Property developer Amer Al Midani is alleged to have handed over a dud check. Nevada gaming auditors are worried with the relationship between an Internet bettin site and a September poker tournament at Four Quenns. The investigation is in progress. Advertisements in a poker magizine say the online poker site ultimatebet.com, is charching players $15 to $30 to play in small online card tournaments. The tournaments winners are invited to tak part in the 4 Quenns Poker Classic, a tournament schedulded for September 5-23 at the downtown casino.

The UK government has been warned by the US casino companies about rising tax rates on gaming profits. Casinos has threatened that if the taxes go up, they will no take part in the developing UK gaming industry. Harrah,s and MGM companies from Las Vegas will not invest in the soon to be created casino complexes, unless gaming duty is lowered. The managing director of MGM Mirage Development, Europe, - Llloyd Nathan siad: “The current tax rate would be prohibitive to the type of large scale development that the govrnment is looking towards”.
